The Standards of Care set out by\u00a0<\/span>WPATH are flexible<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span>to meet the diverse\u00a0<\/span>health care needs of trans and gender-variant people<\/strong>. The proposed criteria for surgical treatments are\u00a0<\/span>guidelines that practitioners can adjust as needed<\/strong>, which may result from a person\u2019s anatomical, social, or psychological situations.
