Genital masculinization surgery, also known as bottom surgery or gender affirmation surgery for trans men, includes several procedures aimed at aligning the patient’s genitalia with their gender identity. The main procedures are phalloplasty and metoidioplasty.
Both procedures can be complemented by additional surgeries, such as testicular prosthesis implantation and the removal of female internal reproductive organs (hysterectomy). Other surgeries, like trans mastectomy, can also be performed based on the patient’s needs and desires.
